Book Explorer lets readers browse the free, readable slice of the Open Library catalogue by familiar library genres (Mystery, Romance, Science Fiction, Biography & Memoir, History, and more), or dig into "All Subjects" for the exact subject tags Open Library itself assigns each book — no invented categories standing in between. Subjects are organized by real Library of Congress classification for easier scanning, but clicking any tag shows exactly, and only, the books that carry it. Filter further by form, length, audience, and recency.
Every book has its own page with an embedded reader where available, plus outbound links to Open Library, the Toronto Public Library, Libby, and Amazon.
